Wall Emulsion Low Lustre is a state-of-the-art, fast drying, odorless acrylic paint suitable for use on properly primed sheet rock , plaster, wood, plastic and metal surfaces.
New unpainted surfaces: After light sanding and surface cleaning, apply one coat of Christopher Peacock Paint Acrylic Undercoat to sheetrock followed by two coats of Wall Emulsion Low Lustre.
Plaster: After light sanding and surface cleaning, apply one coat of Christopher Peacock Paint Oil Undercoat to plaster followed by two coats of Wall Emulsion Low Lustre. Allow minimum 5 hours drying time between coats. Sand lightly between coats and remove dust.
Wood: Wood surfaces should be primed with oil or acrylic primer to prevent bleed through of knots or imperfections. (Oil primer requires 24 hours drying time before recoating with Wall Emulsion).
Previously painted surfaces: Old finishes, in poor condition, should be harshly sanded or removed before proceeding with system for new unpainted surfaces.
Existing coatings: Existing coatings in sound condition may be recoated with Wall Emulsion Low Lustre after light sanding and surface cleaning. Do not apply at temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit or above 80 degrees Fahrenheit, or when relative humidity exceeds 80%. Sand lightly between coats and remove dust.
Wall Emulsion Low Lustre should be applied with a 3/8 inch nap roller, synthetic brush or sprayed. Apply smooth, even coats with minimal rolling or brushing. Do not apply at temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit or above 80 degrees Fahrenheit, or when relative humidity exceeds 80%. Clean tools immediately after use with hot water. Apply without thinning under normal environmental conditions. If necessary, Wall Emulsion Low Lustre may be thinned slightly with water (maximum 3 ounces per EurogallonTM 2.5 litre). Stir well before use.
